Embodied Birth

Pregnancy has a way of bringing us home to our bodies in ways we’ve never experienced before. Through somatic practices and evidenced-based birth education, we can work together to feel safe at home in your changing body through all stages of pregnancy and postpartum.

Birth happens in the body, not the mind.

Begin to nurture your own voice of inner wisdom so that you can make informed decisions in a world laden with information, “shoulds & shouldn’ts” and right and wrongs.

  • Through a combination of cerebral and somatic practices (think reading, writing, yoga, art, and breathwork), we will gently tune your attention and locus of control inward.

  • Learning to feel the sensations and feelings in our body and trust in the messages it sends us is integral to the parenting journey. Gently exploring the parts of us we’ve ignored and the newly emerging aspects of Self is an incredible process for embodying your role as a newly born parent.

  • I am not a traditional doula or yoga teacher in the sense that I don’t see myself as your advocate or your guide. I am here to witness your pregnancy and birth journey as it unfolds, and hold space for you to explore your own body, mind and soul. I am not a midwife or doctor and therefore my services are not to be considered medical guidance.

Blessing Ceremony

A designated time and space for birthing parents to be celebrated and the sacred passageway of parenthood to be acknowledged within community.

Rituals are an ancient practice that span time and space, weaving a thread of connection through all cultures of past and present. It is a beautiful tool of embodiment by way of its ability to speak to the body on the cellular level through its connection to our ancestors.

Ritual allows us to slow down and create intentionality behind moments of transition in our lives. Allow yourself to walk through the threshold of parenthood while lovingly guided and supported by your family and friends.

Each ceremony is uniquely designed to your needs with respect to your individual cultural background.
